ZVS-Optimized Constant and Variable Switching Frequency Modulation Schemes for Dual Active Bridge Converters

This paper proposes two modulation schemes for Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converters, with the aim of maximizing Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) operation over a wide operational range. The first is ZVS-optimized constant frequency scheme, constructed based on boundary conditions ZVS operation. scheme maximizes number events across broad range and easy to implement. Additionally, variable proposed, enabling continuous full DAB converter at power eliminating loss due transitioning between regions. functionality extends range, yielding improved Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) performance overall efficiency. synergy proposed particularly well-suited applications like off-board Electric Vehicle (EV) charging.
